Yes it has been some time since posting, many trying times have come along leading my life to places I never dreamed and left much of my thoughts quiet.    While browsing I came across  #5- Kirstin and Jordan's Taste of Sunshine    http://projectrunandplay.blogspot.com  I was so taken in by a crisp, clean  project.  From the style, color,  fit,  justification of fabric with style and appropriate accessories, this has been a number one choice of all those I have shared this site with.  One detail that did quickly catch our eyes that we all felt could have been changed were the sandals.  Fashioning bits of the colored ribbon, entwining, dangling or even tiny bows on the sandals  for color.  Eyes move over the dress so easy instead of an abrupt stop when reaching the shoes.  When in doubt bare feet always work keeping the mind and eyes moving and look so sweet.  Nothing ever can replace babies clean  feet and using ribbon, lace,  flowers etc. delicately placed between and around them.  If shoes were what was being represented they need to take the eyes all in giving one an absolute need including a pair of all colors available and instantly not caring if you have any clothing that will work with them, you work around the shoes and the list goes on including handbags, jewelry etc., the feeling does not leave you until they are yours and paraded throughout your home giving you such a glow.

Monday's Favorite

This morning I came across a great online fabric shop,  while looking for large print florals this came up in Google and the ease of browsing without all the criss crossing, great selections and pricing with so many freebies made this site such a great find.

I should also be finished and have in the mail to my great nephew his Christmas present,  The Cat In The Hat quilt.  What started out to be the size of his twin bed got cut down due to my mother thinking he would surely love it so much more in a size more for him to cuddle and not so much a bed blanket.  I'm so thrilled with the choices I made when ordering the Cat In The Hat style selections, I was not so thrilled with the quality of material.  A really thin and lightly woven fabric and after quilting and sewing the holes from the stitching really shocked me.  So much work and money spent on this fabric really will add to the end result of fabric I bring in the next time. Fiber and production has been in my blood for many years leading me to realize this quilt will not be one to stay around for years unless looked at and not used.  I'm so sad to say that the Cat sold this fabric not the product it was produced on.

A Sampling Of Favorite Sewing Blogs Or Sites

One of my very favorites and a must to look at all the time:

     http://littlebirdiesecrets.blogspot.com/

I think she can blog and sleep at the same time while her head is in the mode to create such  up to date items that are actually used, worn, given as gifts etc.
It's so obvious she pours her heart into everything she does and gives freely of her time, patience, patterns and many giveaways.  Once you start visiting her site you will be back over and over again becoming your favorite site for crafts, sewing, quilting, crochet, and many  other handmade crafts. \\

An awesome site when looking for free patterns

Mary started this site in 2003, it's full of free patterns for sewing, crocheting and knitting etc.  She has done such an awesome amount of work keeping this up, I have a hard time just remembering 2003.
